We're happy to offer another preview treat today - the cover by Eric Shanower for the first issue of the Dorothy of Oz prequel comic series coming in March from IDW!
Actually, I didn't do the color, so while it may resemble my coloring, it's by someone else--to whom I'd give credit if I knew who the colorist is. I'm sure the name will be in the published comic.
I couldn't find the proper place for this question (new to the site) so I hope you'll forgive me. I was just wondering what the other OZ fans thought about the newest movie, Oz the Great and Powerful? I was actually beyond words outraged and was wondering if I was alone on this. Thank you for you're time in reading this and thank you for creating this site, it seems very interesting and informative.

I saw this cover a while ago and I NEVER SUSPECTED it was by Eric Shanower, completely unrecognisable!
Maybe I WILL get it after all, if just for the sake of the cover/artist. Provided it comes to my local comic shop . . .
They’re not Eric’s Oz models, and I wouldn’t have seen it unassisted, but it is his palette, and his sense of character-in-action

The colorist is Joana Lafuente.
